PL2022 - Week 4 | Sahlin Studio

Comparing this winter to last winter, weather-wise, we've been pretty lucky.

We've had snow and it's all melted on numerous occasions. So thankful for the chinooks we get that allow this 'snow melting' phenomenon to happen.

Here is week 4 of my project life album. A pretty mild week, considering in December and January we had those terrific, long-lasting cold spells.

  • Joined my dad while he was on the search for slippers and a new recliner. [Success in both departments]
  • Loving the snapchat filters, still. Especially when it make the dark circles under my eyes all but disappear...
  • While Madelyn skated at Bowness Park, Barry and I took the opportunity to walk around it. The lights in the trees made it so nice.
  • This puzzle... It was tricky. But he did it!! I hated this one, and found 1 or 2 pieces total...

PL2022 - Week 3 | Sahlin Studio

Week 3 of my project life album is mostly photos with a few embellishments.

Proof that you don't need much to capture your stories or memories.

  • The memes going around right now, about Covid shots and boosters... They're so funny. And thankfully we can still laugh.
  • Chicken wings in the air-fryer have been perfected. Now to try some new flavours.
  • Barry and I spent the week isolating. So very boring. On the last day, we ventured out to the car wash.
  • Love watching Madelyn in the kitchen. She's becoming a fine little baker.
  • Stopped for burgers after Mason's hockey game.

PL2022 - Week 2 | Sahlin Studio

January turned out to be more eventful than we'd wished for. Barry and I ended up coming down with Covid... Considering we rarely leave the house, we're not totally sure where it came from. He got it first, then lovingly passed it along to me. Thankfully, we both experienced mild head cold like symptoms. The biggest challenge of it was to isolate away from the kids and stay home. Which we've been doing, but when you  HAVE to stay home, it becomes quite a hardship...

  • Looking up cold symptoms, vs covid symptoms. Let me be clear here, we had NONE of the typical covid symptoms. It just felt like a crummy cold, but we tested and it was positive.
  • Working through 30 day yoga journey this month.
  • Eating by ourselves in the dining room, the kids served and made all our meals. They were really helpful.
  • Before finding out we were postitive, Mason & his sweetheart checked out the wolf dog sanctuary.

March 2022 Template Freebie | Sahlin Studio

It's the beginning of March, which means Sahlin Studio has another free template to download. This template will only be available to download though the rest of this month, so if you want it, don't wait too long. Follow this link to download.

Last weekend we spent some time enjoying our back deck. The sun felt warm on our faces, the birds were chirping, you could hear water draining as the snow melted. At this time of year, a glimpse into warm does good for the soul. Especially when it's been cold. [It has since snowed again, as I knew it would] I'm writing this blog post right listening to the wind and watching snow swirl outside my window. But as the days begin to grow longer, and the sun get warmer, we know we're on the downhill slide. Spring is around the corner. And quite frankly, knowing that is what gets me through winter.
