PL2014 - Weeks 30 & 31

I used to use my blog as a space to capture moments. Now that I've been doing project life for a number of years, this space has fallen behind. Now I do capture those moments, weekly. And we look through them on a pretty regular basis. This isn't where I try to remember and reflect as much anymore.

Having said that, i still want to keep this space going. I have to figure out how to incorporate it into my week. Now that school is back and all of our extra curricular stuff is in full swing, I'm dead tired by 9:30. And so many times at 9:30, I'm still attempting to get Miss Madelyn to stay in her bed... It's a constant struggle. And truthfully, sucks my will sometimes. I have always been a night owl, but that has gone by the wayside. Lately I've just been so darn tired in the evenings...

Any way, with that said, here are weeks 30 & 31 of project life:

Week 30

Still getting into the routine of having a dog around. We've spent more time in the kitchen than ever. Enjoying the great weather. [Yes... sadly I made a spelling error...]

Week 31

This week the kids were in summer camp. [pool picture] I went and watched their swim lessons. Mad got to go to the farm with her uncle. Loving our city. Celebrating my Dad's birthday.

PL2014 - Week 26

Oops-a-daisy!! I forgot a week!!

Here is week 26!

Week 26 included the grade 6 farewell. Teacher photos. Last lunch date with my grade 3 girl. Last patrol duty, and a boy turning 12.  It also included the announcement of Two Peas in a Bucket closing it's doors. A sad time indeed.

PL2014 - Weeks 27, 28 & 29

Better late than never, here are a few more of my project life weeks 27 through 29. I kind of clumped these weeks together, as we were on our summer vacation at the time.I wanted to include these couple of weeks, knowing I could only touch on a few things. I also ended up making a double page collage to capture more.

Here they are:

We celebrated Canada Day, all dressing in our patriotic colours. The breeder sent us a photo of Libby, we haven't seen her since she was 5 weeks old. So excited to see her looking like a miniature schnauzer! Our arrival at the beach. Not a cloud in the sky, but there was a jet trail. We took the 'x marks the spot' as a sign that we were exactly where we were meant to be.

The weather on our holiday was FANTASTIC. Aside from two pretty impressive storms. We watched one come down the valley towards us, and the sky was impressive. The storm passed by quickly, and the remainder of our vacation time was HOT.

Mason learned to captain the boat this year. Baba gave him boat driving lessons. He did great, even pulling Madelyn in the tube! We also left 39° weather and arrived home to 17°. Seriously, one extreme to another in this country!!

The day after we got home from our vacation we picked up our new puppy, Libby. Barry had to go to work, so the kids and I went and picked her up. Of course we had to do a 'selfie' with our new pup!!
So I added a lift up flap to include a couple more pictures of her adjusting to her new house, and new life.

Barry is smitten. This is the first time he's had a puppy. I grew up with dogs in the house. But this little bean quickly melted all our hearts. And found a favourite place to lay in the sun.

Insert Side A:

I wanted to include more photos of our vacation, so I created a collage. This is just a few of the photos that made up our vacation. I made the collage 8x12, and cut down a 12x12 page protector. I
simply used washi tape to close the page protector off.

Insert Side B:

We had a fantastic vacation. This year we tried a new place, and Ama & Baba ended up joining us. My kids are so lucky to be able to spend such quality time with them. It was great.
